ThePeopleBook is now live
As of June 15, 2026, ThePeopleBook is open to everyone. It is a platform that turns writing a book into something a group of people can do together.
Many things worth writing down never get written. Not because no one wants to write them, but because it is hard for one person to go all the way from an idea to a finished book alone. ThePeopleBook exists to make writing a book something a group of people can do together.
Today, June 15, 2026, ThePeopleBook is officially open to the public.
ThePeopleBook is a platform for collaborative writing and licensed reading. Anyone can start a book they want to write, or propose a book they want to read. People who share an interest form a team around a topic and carry it together, from proposal and recruiting, through collaborative writing and full-book proofing, all the way to a finished book that everyone can read. The rights to each book belong to its creators and team. The platform is not the rights holder. It brings people together and keeps the process running.
How we got here
March 2026. ThePeopleBook began development, with collaborative writing at its core and a reading experience inspired by print journalism.
May 2026. The core platform came together. Proposing, team-building, collaborative writing, full-book proofing, the store, and online reading were all connected, and the first deployment went live.
Early June 2026. The platform added human verification and content review, and introduced the Founding Program and the landing experience.
June 15, 2026. ThePeopleBook opened to the public.
