Copyright Infringement Complaint
ThePeopleBook receives copyright complaints through a general rights-holder process for books, proposals, previews, and reader-facing content.
Complaint process
How rights holders submit a complaint
Send a written complaint to the contact below. To let us review and locate the content, include these five items.
- 01
Complainant identity and contact details
Provide your real name, email address, and the capacity in which you are contacting us.
- 02
Specific location of the reported content
Include the URL, book ID, chapter, excerpt, or other details that let us find the exact content.
- 03
Evidence of rights ownership
Explain your relationship to the work and provide documents, links, registration details, or other proof you rely on.
- 04
Good-faith statement
State that you believe in good faith that the reported use is not authorized by the rights holder or applicable law.
- 05
Responsibility statement
Confirm that you are willing to bear legal responsibility for a false or abusive complaint.
Objection and appeal process
How affected users may appeal
If content is removed after a copyright complaint, the affected user may submit an objection through the platform flow. The backend records and routes these appeals for admin review.
- 14-day cooldown
- The appeal flow uses a 14-day waiting period before restoration can be considered.
- Five submissions per day
- Each user may submit up to five appeal records per day for this workflow.
- Admin-reviewed restoration
- Content is restored only after the admin review path approves restoration.
